Gliding along, an hour away from
sniffles, laundry and an endless To Do List.
Feet stepping in perfect rhythm to music
inspiring them to move faster and lighter.
December air surging through my lungs,
a view so mesmerizing, it’s pulled right back out.
Endorphins buzzing, bouncing, richocheting,
reminding me once again why I run.
I am whole again and ready to return home and be
all the things I’m meant to be in this amazing life I’ve been given.
A life I wouldn’t trade for anything…because I run.
I so get this. I’m long overdue for a run…
