Philanthropy

Giving back is an important part of my life. Like many of you, I do what I can, when I can, and hope that eventually it will add up to making a small difference in our world. More importantly, I hope that my efforts, combined with your efforts and millions of others will suddenly snowball into something huge.

Over the years I’ve been involved in many different philanthropic projects and try to combine my love of sports with my love of helping others. You can read more details by clicking on the tabs in the menu bar above, but here are just a few of the organizations I have been part of, or am currently:

Team Empower, a group of Ironman triathletes raising funds for Smile Train to give children with cleft palate/lip life-changing surgery.

Fred’s Team, raising funds for cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC.

Join Jacob, a triathlon team raising funds for the Santa Barbara Food Bank (named after 6th grader, Jacob Mansbach, who started this team when he was in the 3rd grade).

Popsicles for Nepal, a homespun effort to raise funds for Direct Relief to help the earthquake victims in Nepal.
